Keeping Marylebone Clean

The Marylebone Liberal Democrats are continuing their campaign to clean up our streets and hold Labour-run Westminster Council accountable for keeping the area tidy. Residents have told us repeatedly that fly-tipping, overflowing bins, and rubbish from short-term lets is getting worse. Despite repeated promises, the Council has failed to get on top of the problem and local people deserve better.
The local Liberal Democrat team has been out listening to residents, reporting problem areas, and pushing for stronger enforcement against repeat offenders. They are also calling for better coordination between waste services, landlords, and short-term let operators to prevent rubbish being dumped on local pavements.
Helen Toeman, campaigner for the Marylebone Liberal Democrats, said:
“Fly-tipping has become a real eyesore in parts of Marylebone, and residents are fed up. The Council needs to take responsibility for regular monitoring and swift action, especially where short-term lets contribute to the problem. Keeping our streets clean shouldn’t rely on residents chasing the Council week after week.”
The Marylebone Liberal Democrats will keep pressing until our streets reflect the pride our community takes in our area, clean, safe, and cared for by everyone who calls it home.
